GAS Conference

The talented team from the Chrysler Museum and its Perry Glass Studio will be hosting the 46th Annual Glass Art Society Conference. This year’s theme is Reflections from the Edge: Glass, Art, and Performance. Don’t have tickets to the conference? No problem! This conference is filled with FREE public events!


Day of Glass

May 31

Join in on the fun as you watch local glass artists show of what they do best –turn up the heat! These demonstrations begin at 1 p.m. and will be held at multiple locations through the vibrant NEON District. For more information, click here.



Three-Ring Circus

June 1-3

This mobile hot shop will be set up next to Glass Wheel Studios offering free demonstrations Thursday- Saturday.


First Friday & Gallery Hop

June 2 6-11 p.m.

Don’t miss out on Norfolk’s biggest street party that is filled with live music, libations, food trucks and more! Then head to the galleries and experience exhibitions featuring local artists as well as those from the Washington Glass School, the Virginia Glass Guild and the Glass Art Society.


Glass Wheel Studio

Make time to check out the 2017 GAS Member Juried Exhibition at the Glass Wheel Studio. The opening night party will be held on May 27, free and open to the public.  These magnificent works of art will be on display from May 27- July 16.

Play Me, I’m Yours

May 23 - June 4

Take a walk around town and discover beautifully re-designed ivory keys. Play Me, I’m Yours has been traveling the globe since 2008 and now it has made its way to Norfolk. The Art of Burning Man

June 3-October 14

Burning Man is leaving Nevada and heading to the Layfette this summer! This infamous, art-filled festival is bringing its magical art to the Hermitage Museum & Garden. The interactive exhibit will feature indoor and outdoor installations from the festival’s favorite artistic teams.
