2017 SPRING STOCKLEY GARDENS ARTS FESTIVAL
May 20-21, 2016
Ghent Neighborhood, Norfolk
For 33 years, Hope House has been the vision behind this local tradition where art, music and more than 50,000 visitors come together for a celebration of community and creativity.
Folks flock to Stockley Gardens in Norfolk's historic Ghent neighborhood to browse through jewelry, pottery, paintings and other works of art by approximately 130 artists.
Each year, a nationally recognized artist or curator judges the artists, who compete for cash prizes. There are special exhibits and prizes for high school students in the spring, and college students in the fall. Award winners are announced during the Artists' Reception, which is held Saturday evening on the Main Stage.
Proceeds support housing, transportation, medical care, and more for people with intellectual disabilities.
