For the adventurous at heart, don't miss the Elizabeth River Trail, a 10.5-mile biking and pedestrian urban trail that extends between Harbor Park Stadium and Norfolk International Terminals. Highlights along the trail include the Weynoke Bird and Wildlife Sanctuary, Town Point Park, the Battleship Wisconsin, Fort Norfolk, Plum Point Park, and several of Norfolk’s historic neighborhoods.
In the mood for edge-of-your-seat outdoor entertainment? Score tickets to a Norfolk Tides game or tee off at one of the city's golf courses such as Lambert's Point Golf Club, a beautiful link-style, nine-hole golf course located on the banks of the Elizabeth River. Head over to the 155-acre Norfolk Botanical Garden where you’ll find than forty themed gardens. Spend the afternoon strolling through the garden, hop on a tram tour take a sunset kayak tour on Lake Whitehurst.
