Couldn’t make it to the Caribbean this summer? Not a problem, The Virginia Caribbean-American Culture Association brings the Caribbean to you! To kick off the festivities on Friday, August 19th, tag along the J’Ouvert Boatride on the Spirit of Norfolk to begin the party. Following on August 20th, there will be a Carnival Parade in the streets of downtown Norfolk, bring your family and friends and enjoy the color filled parade featuring extravagant costumes, dancers, and folklore characters leading up to the festival. The festival will be located in Norfolk’s Town Point Park, come celebrate the island culture with invigorating reggae, vibrant costumes, and tropical cuisine.
Tickets for the Festival in the park are as follows: Children under 10 years are free, Children 11-17 are $10, and Adults: $15.
