Head on over to the Norfolk Botanical Garden, on Saturday August 20th, 2016 from 10AM-4PM, for their Sixth Annual Honey Bee Festival, it’s all the buzz! Norfolk Botanical Garden and the Beekeepers Guild of Southeast Virginia are joining forces once again to bring Norfolk the Sixth Annual Honey Bee Festival. Great fun for families and friends, all ages can expect music, food, bee-related merchandise, and a once in a lifetime opportunity to look inside a bee-hive!

Featured at the festival will be a performance by the wildly talented Multi Celli youth orchestra, in effort of spreading the word about honey-bees’ vital role in our environment. Bees are our friends; this festival will truly show you how important they are to us along with the world around us.

Food for purchase will be provided by Seoul 757, Balu’s Surf Shack, Gerty’s Gourmet Kitchen, The Thirsty Frog, and the Garden’s own Marigold & Honey Café.

Lastly, don’t forget to purchase bee-friendly plants for you yards on your way out! Support the bees!

The Honey Bee Festival is FREE with Garden admission and will take place on the Baker Hall Visitor Center Terrace. Children who dress as a bee will get a free honey stick, and there will be a Bee Costume Parade at 11AM.
