There is no doubt that as the heart of the Virginia Waterfront, Norfolk has great waterways for sightseeing and exploring. But for something to drink, the city has some special treats.
The city is home to Virginia’s first urban winery and two thriving small breweries. Each offers unique and special creations, tours and tastings.

Mermaid Winery features a tasting bar, Open Daily from 11 AM to midnight and located in the Palace Station Shops.
O’Connor Brewing Company
The Tasting Bar is open Wednesday-Friday from 4-7pm and Saturdays from 12-7pm. Tours are on a reserved basis, scheduled for groups of 10 or more, and include tastings and a souvenir O'Connor pint glass.
Smartmouth Brewing Company
Smartmouth Brewing Company is a craft brewery featuring many year-round styles of beer with periodic seasonal/special styles. Its beers can be found in restaurants across the area, while a brewery tasting room gives visitors a chance to sample their styles and take a tour.
The tasting room is open Thursdays and Fridays from 4:30pm - 7pm, and Saturdays from 12-5pm. Free tours are offered hourly on Saturdays.
