Puppy de Mayo
May 5, 2016
Town Point Park, Norfolk Waterfront
Norfolk was recently named one of the “Top 100 best places in the country for Dogs” by Men’s Health Magazine. So why not celebrate by joining other pet lovers in the park with your pooch for the second annual “Puppy de Mayo.”
It’s a fun night on the town for you and your pup overlooking the Elizabeth River with complimentary snacks and treats for your furry friends. Humans can enjoy beer, wine and Yappy Hour drink specials and live music by Brian Sewell.
There will be a costume competition for “Best Dressed Dog”, so bring your pup in their best costume to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Judging will take place throughout the event with the winner announced at 7:30pm.
A portion of the evening’s proceeds will go to Fetch a Cure; a non-profit pet organization designed to raise awareness, educate and provide pet owners with greater access to information about pet cancer.
