Rally Honors “Champions of Hospitality”

VisitNorfolk and the Norfolk Tourism Research Foundation celebrated National Travel & Tourism Week, May 2nd – 10th  with a rally entitled “Champions of Hospitality” at the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center.  The best and brightest hospitality associates of the city were honored for their contribution to Norfolk’s tour and travel industry and ambassadors for the city.

Peter G. Decker III., Phillip A. Decker and Paul A. Decker served as master of ceremonies. Tom Schaad, Stephanie Harris, Bruce Rader and Nicole Livas of WAVY TV-10, and the Decker brothers served as judges for the “Most Spirited” contest.  Dominique Da Diva and DJ Bee from 103 JAMZ were co-hosts.

On average, VisitNorfolk receives 150 nominations per year in approximately 20 different categories. The 2015 winners will join an elite group of Norfolk employees honored since VisitNorfolk held its first rally in 2002.  Two traveling trophies will also be awarded to the “Most Spirited” organizations in attendance at the Rally.

The “Champions of Hospitality” Rally is open to Norfolk hospitality employees. VisitNorfolk and the Norfolk Tourism Research Foundation are proud to honor those who do so much for Norfolk’s travel and tourism industry.
