Photo Contest - Mask Up Norfolk!

Embrace the mask suntan and make it a fashion piece! We all need to do our part in helping prevent the spread of the virus – it takes all of us.

The State of Virginia requires the use of face coverings when spending time in indoor public settings including attractions, restaurants, breweries and shops. Help us encourage people to wear masks by capturing yourself at your favorite Norfolk location with your mask on. You can either tag your explorations on social media or upload your mask-wearing photo for a chance to win a Norfolk brewery or restaurant gift card.In need of a new mask? Click here for a VisitNorfolk mermaid mask.Melissa Ebersole

Thank you to everyone over the last 8 years of supporting Penelope and her Lemonaid Stand for Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters (CHKD).

This year she is hosting a virtual stand:

All donations help kids fight childhood cancer.

Plus, I have a very sweet niece who spent almost a year at CHKD.... so it is very sweet and dear to our hearts. ???

Penelope and I made an art piece for the CHKD Anthem Lemonaid art contest.

It’s a recycled art collage. The base is a cereal box, the collage has book pages, stuffing from a plush, left over rice paper, and my scrap papers.

She drew lemons and I cut them out. We tore paper and glued them on. We chose the word “strength” from an old book because the children at CHKD fighting cancer have so much strength and we want to give them hope and encouragement.
The color red of the bird represents strength as well. So it’s a message of hope. Keep fighting! ❤️?

Hosting a stand reminds us to giveback to those who are fighting... this is why my daughter and I do a Lemonaid stand every year for the last 7 years.
