Jeff Mack is a glassmaker and manager of Hot Glass Programs at the Corning Museum of Glass. In addition to being an artist and educator he has fabricated glass for numerous internationally recognized artists and designers, helping them to realize their concepts in glass. Mack’s own work incorporates traditional techniques blended into a contemporary vision, creating works that not only highlight his personal expression, but also bring forward the actual process of glassmaking. “I love the diversity of the material, the way that it’s made and manufactured, and the teamwork aspect,” Mack said. “I love working directly with glass, and at the same time, I am fascinated its history; exploring its many uses for art, industry, architecture, and everything in between.”
