Louise Dupré has published twenty books, including *Plus haut que les flammes* (*Beyond the flames*) and *La main hantée* (*The Haunted Hand*), which both won the Governor General’s Award for poetry. In 2014, she was appointed to the Order of Canada "for her contributions to Quebec literature as a poet, novelist, playwright, essayist and professor."

Diane Régimbald is PEN International's Women Writers Committee Chair. She has published several collections of poetry and was a finalist for the Governor General's Poetry Award of Canada. Denise Desautels has strong ties to the world of visual arts and has also published more than forty volumes of poetry, prose narratives, and artists' books. She earned numerous honors, including the 2009 Prix Athanase-David, the highest literary distinction awarded by the Quebec government.
Dr. Peter Schulman, Professor of World Languages & Culture at Old Dominion University (ODU), has translated several books of poetry and was nominated for the PEN Translation Prize in 2008. He also organizes an annual ODU-VA Beach Quebecois Poetry Festival with the Maison de la Poésie in Montreal.
