Violins of Hope Richmond presents a chamber concert played on violins recovered and restored by Israeli violinmaker, Amnon Weinstein, who has devoted the last 20 years to locating and restoring the violins of the Holocaust as a tribute to those who were lost. The concert will be a series of pieces that tell the stories of the violins and the history of the Holocaust. The music and stories combine to give us a powerful new lens through which to view the important role of music in Jewish life, before, during and after the Holocaust, and to express the themes of spirit, resistance, resilience, and hope
