Created in 1994 by five eminent wind soloists, Windscape has won a unique place for itself as a vibrant, ever-evolving group of musical individualists, an “unquintet” which has delighted audiences throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Asia. As Artists in Residence at Manhattan School of Music, the members of Windscape are master teachers, imparting the secrets of instrumental virtuosity while presenting concerts hailed for creative energy and musical curiosity.

Continuing nearly a decade of highly successful collaborations, the Norfolk Chamber Consort co-presents another project with the Diehn Concert Series. Windscape returns by popular demand and is joined by NCC pianists and critically acclaimed recording artists Andrey Kasparov and Oksana Lutsyshyn in Quintet in E-flat Major for Piano and Woodwinds by Ludwig van Beethoven, and Fantasy on a Fugue by J.S. Bach by Lowell Liebermann. The program also includes Adagio and Allegro in F Minor for Mechanical Organ by Mozart as arranged for winds by Mordechai Rechtman, and Wind Quintet No. 1 by Jean Françaix.

Free parking is available in Garage E, 49th Street, and Bluestone Avenue, or in the circular lot between the F. Ludwig Diehn Center for the Performing Arts.

Free reception by The Green Onion following the performance.
