Established in 1997, the Virginia Arts Festival is a non-profit organization created by the City of Norfolk. Every spring, renowned artists from around the world congregate in Hampton Roads to bring music, dance, and theatre. The Virginia Arts Festival sponsors events with very gifted artists from many branches of the entertainment industry. Presented at such events are representatives of the worlds of ballet, classical music, Caribbean and Reggae music, and interpretative dance, as well as legends of the jazz world, country and rock and roll music icons, sketch comedy groups, and more.
