Attractions & Sights
From the Elizabeth River Trail—an outdoor, 10.5-mile paved pathway—to some top attractions offering free admission or wheel chair rentals, Norfolk offers great accessibility.

Airport Accessibility
Norfolk International Airport is fully accessible to travelers using wheelchairs and provides the following features and equipment to allow greater ease of movement for non-ambulatory travelers.

Amtrak Accessibility
Traveling to Norfolk by train? Amtrak is happy to provide accessible transportation to all of their guests. Accessible seating and accessible restrooms are available in at least one coach car on all trains. Most lounge cars and café cars also have accessible seating.

Public Transportation
All of Hampton Roads Transit’s modes of transportation are ADA accessible. Hop on board the Elizabeth River Ferry for a glimpse of Norfolk’s skyline, or roll onto the Tide, Norfolk’s light rail system with 11 stops allowing convenient access to many of the city’s offerings.
