Biking in Norfolk

The best way to see the city? On two wheels, of course! Get out and enjoy the fresh air as you cruise through Norfolk in style. Explore the Elizabeth River Trail, a 10.5-mile trail that runs along Norfolk's alluring waterfront. Instead of driving to our attractions and restaurants, use one of our many bike lanes that allow cyclists to navigate the city safely.

Pace Norfolk

Norfolk is excited to offer Pace Norfolk, a premier bike-share experience for visitors and locals. With Pace, riders can rent and return bikes from a multitude of bike hubs located throughout downtown and from public bike racks throughout the city. Pace bikes rent for $1 for every 30-minutes.

Pace Bikes in Norfolk

It's super easy! Simply download the Pace app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. After you create an account, available Pace bikes will populate on the app's map using a GPS locator. Select your bike, unlock it and start riding!

While on your ride, feel free to make a few pitstops at local coffee shops, museums and more. Pace gives riders the freedom to make quick stops by using their Hold Bike feature.

When you are finished with your ride, find a Pace docking station or a public bike rack and lock up your bike. There are plenty of approved bike docking stations throughout the city.

If you happen to find an abandoned Pace bike, please call 833-321-PACE or click here for more info.
