Craft Beer Tours
The craft beer scene in Norfolk has boomed in recent years, and the city is proud to be the home of four brewing companies, a handful of brew pubs and an annual beer festival. Located in the Chelsea district of Norfolk, Smartmouth Brewing Company is a 20-barrel craft brewhouse that makes about 250 barrels a month. The brewery has an 1100-square-foot tasting room open to the public where you can drink or purchase your own beer. The tasting room is family- friendly, and the deck and driveway are dog-friendly. Free tours hourly of the production facility starting at 2:15PM.
Located in the historic Ghent district is O’Connor Brewing Company. O’Connor’s offers free brewery tours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, during tasting room hours (Monday-Thursday; 4-8PM/Friday 4-9PM/Saturday; Noon-9PM/Sunday; Noon-6PM). Tours are also available by appointment Tuesday and Thursday from 2-8PM. For more information, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information on tours, contact the breweries directly.
