Norfolk is proud to be the home of the world’s largest Naval Station and while visiting, be sure to take a tour of the base. On the guided tour, you’ll see aircraft carriers, destroyers, amphibious assault ships, and learn about the history of Naval Station Norfolk.
The Naval Station offers 45-minute tours year-round that are conducted by naval personnel. Tours depart from the Naval Station Norfolk Tour & Information Center located at 9079 Hampton Blvd. next to gate 5. The cost (cash only) is $10 for adults and $5 for children 3-11, and senior citizens over the age of 60. A picture ID is required for all adults over the age of 18. Foreign travelers must present a passport as a means of identification. Please arrive 30 minutes early to the tour. Seats on the bus are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Charter Groups: Drivers and Private Escorts will need to show ID. Forms of ID that are not TSA compliant will need to show two forms of government-issued ID. The following states are not currently TSA compliant: Alaska, California, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

The Victory Rover is your front row seat to the U.S. Navy’s Norfolk-based fleet. Departing from a berth just a short walk along the Downtown Norfolk Harbor from Nauticus, the Victory Rover offers a 2-hour narrated naval base tour, an enjoyable option to the bus tours offered on base. From a vantage point aboard ship, passengers will witness the majesty of the Navy’s aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, guided missile cruisers, and other vessels that make up the world’s most powerful sea-going armada. On board, the Victory Rover offers its guests comfortable seating with the option of an open-air upper deck or an enclosed, air-conditioned lower deck. Clean restrooms, a snack bar, and souvenir shop will assure that all of your needs are met. Tickets can be purchased at the ship’s ticket window inside Nauticus. While a regular cruising schedule is kept, advance reservations are strongly recommended, as the Victory Rover is one of the Norfolk’s most popular cruises.
