The NorVa, more than 80 years old, was renovated in 1998. Known by its patrons for its charm and rustic aesthetics, The NorVa is an intimate concert venue with state-of-the-art technology. The stage area features extensive utilities and lighting for special effects, a V-DOSC sound system, and top notch acoustics. Many bands have regarded The NorVa as one of the best venues in the United States, due not only to its high-grade equipment, but also to its many backstage perks, such as a hot tub, recreation room, sauna, and indoor basketball court.

The ESSEX BVILDING, located in the heart of Downtown Norfolk, is the most sophisticated gathering place in our region. It is VIA design architects’ new model home and community hub. This beautiful example of 1910 Greek Revival architecture has been future-proofed and demonstrates the “Art of what’s possible” with the infusion of building automation and historic preservation combined. We are a BETA testing site for SIEMENS technology innovations and have intentionally designed our space to share with you. Here your staff meetings, retreats, board meetings, lunch and learn seminars, and community gatherings can go from uninspired to new beginnings. Our first floor transforms from a natural-light-flooded open space with visual urban street vibe connectivity, to private presentation mode with programmed touch pad controls. Lights dim, window blinds drop, and projector screen rolls into position.

Thank you for your interest in renting the Harrison Opera House! The completely refurbished Harrison Opera House, located at 160 Virginia Beach Boulevard, offers the premiere facility for elegant affairs. Dramatic towers frame the dynamic new facade and enclose an elegant staircase to the grand foyer and balcony levels. A three-story grand lobby with cantilevered balcony lobby, floor to ceiling windows, and grand chandeliers. The grand lobby located on the second floor can accommodate up to 350 standing for cocktails, up to 225 for a seated dinner and up to 210 with a dance floor. A catering kitchen is available on the same level.

Harbor Park

The 12,067 seat stadium boasts 20 luxury suites, press facilities, including two TV broadcasting booths, and a 300-seat restaurant. Located on downtown Norfolk’s waterfront, Harbor Park also features a complete picnic area located in left field that can be rented out for private parties, as well as an exceptional variety of concession food and beverages available to stadium guests. For groups of 50 to 350, a menu offering a wide selection of charcoaled items is available. Hits at the Park is an on-site full service dining establishment located down the right field foul line and is open to the public for all home games. Hits at the Park can also be used to host private dinners, banquets, or other functions.

Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center

The Half Moone Center is located on Nauticus’ along the downtown Norfolk waterfront. The 80,000 sq. ft. facility is home to Virginia’s only cruise ship program. Cruise Norfolk offers passengers a unique setting from which to begin and end their cruise as it shares its space with Nauticus’ Maritime Discovery Center, sailing center and the historic Battleship Wisconsin.

In 2023, Cruise Norfolk hosted nearly 250,000 unique cruise passenger visits – by far the busiest cruise season in Norfolk’s history. Norfolk will become the east coast’s newest year-round cruise port in 2025 when Carnival begins sailing from downtown each week. In preparation, Nauticus’ Half Moone Cruise Center is undergoing $12 million in enhancements. This guest-focused project consists of an inclined walkway for debarking passengers, additional seating for guests waiting to board, and an improved ground transportation design.

Featuring 54-foot windows to the spectacular views of the Elizabeth River and the metro skyline, the Half Moone Cruise & Celebration Center is the perfect venue for weddings and other gatherings.
