Norfolk Tourism Foundation

NTF Mission: Norfolk welcomes all for exceptional experiences. The Norfolk Tourism Foundation supports a robust city-wide tourism industry through research, workforce development, customer service training and education.

The NTF was founded in 2004 to generate relevant research about the tourism industry’s positive impact on the local economy to demonstrate that travel is essential to enhancing the quality of life in our region. Since its inception, the NTF has participated in 17 research initiatives including a study on the Profile and Economic Impacts of Visitors to Norfolk, the 2020 Regional Branding Initiative, and Visitor Spending Trends.

To continue the positive growth of the tourism industry in Norfolk and the 757, the NTF has awarded over $49,000 in scholarship and grant awards to associates in the industry seeking career development and students at public high schools, colleges and universities in Norfolk, VA. Since 2019, NTF has awarded $27,000.
