Meet The Team

VisitNorfolk’s staff embodies the creative, diverse, can-do spirit of Norfolk with its dedication to telling the stories of our city on the water. From the welcoming Visitor Center staff to the dedicated administrative, sales and marketing teams, VisitNorfolk’s team works hard to educate visitors and locals alike on the virtues of Norfolk. The team regularly participates in group outings, community volunteer work and recreational activities to build a stronger community. Meet our team members.

How We’re Funded

In FY25, revenue was derived from diverse sources, including the city outside agency fund, a $1 bed tax per occupied hotel room, grants, co-op opportunities and partner contributions for initiatives like the annual City Guide and Celebration of Success. Expenses were allocated by department to effectively support our organization’s goals and operations.

Tourism Matters

Travel and tourism had a $84.2 million impact on the city of Norfolk in FY25.

We may not always realize it, but popular tourist spots like The Norfolk Botanical Garden, Nauticus and the Virginia Zoo, restaurants and even historic sites like the Hunter House Victorian Museum are the backbone of the local economy. Same for local hotels, restaurants, shopping centers and art galleries. These places are not only run by our neighbors and friends, but they also grow our local economy while giving visitors a lifetime of memories.

The Latest

VisitNorfolk works closely with its partners to provide up-to-date information for near-term and long-term trip planning. Our partners host an incredible array of events from concerts to Broadway productions to annual festivals. Here’s a look at what’s coming up.
