The Suitcase Junket at Vessel Craft Coffee

Every Wednesday
July 24 2026

6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Vessel Craft Coffee 1229 West Olney Road Norfolk, VA 23507, Price: Tickets are $25 plus the 10 percent city tax and the Eventbrite fee

Matt Lorenz’s vision, manifest in The Suitcase Junket, is an experience not to be missed.

If you saw The Suitcase Junket, the vision of Matt Lorenz, when we hosted him some years ago, you know.

It’s an experience.

Here’s one review: You haven’t experienced true mystical music magic until you see Matt Lorenz, aka The Suitcase Junket, perform live. There really are no words to accurately describe what you witness unfold in front of your eyes as Lorenz creates a tapestry of sound that 10 men could not successfully conjure up.

Tickets are $25 plus the 10 percent city tax and the Eventbrite fee.

His vision developed in the tension between the grand and the solitary. Grand in its imagery, sound, and staging. Solitary in its thrift and self-reliance. What instruments he requires, Lorenz builds from scratch and salvage. What parts five players would perform, he performs alone. The spectacle of his one-man set bears constant comparison to legends of showmanship, brilliance, madness, and invention.

He returns for an intimate show at Vessel Craft. Doors at 7, music at 8. No opener.

This will be a seated show. There will be food and drinks for sale.

“Wherever I Wake Up”

“Black Holes and Overdoses”
