Calling All Families, Grandparents, Caregivers, and Parents!

Looking for a safe and educational way to keep your students entertained this summer? Join the Elizabeth River Project aboard our award-winning Dominion Energy Learning Barge for a one-hour, hands-on field trip all about the Elizabeth River, blue green careers, and how they can help their environment!

Unlike our traditional programs, which are reserved for school and organized groups, these special summer sessions are open to individual children and families. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, babysitter, homeschool family, or other caregiver, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of the region’s most unique floating classrooms.

Please sign up for only one date. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian. We recommend one adult per family and younger siblings are welcome to tag along, but please note the program is designed for children ages 4 and up. Children under 4 must remain under the direct supervision of an adult at all times, and we recommend baby wearing for infants and toddlers whenever possible.

Public Learning Barge programs are only offered for a limited time this summer, so reserve your spot today!
