2026 Trail Beautification Days on the ERT

9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Elizabeth River Trail TBD, Price: Free

On the fourth Friday in the months of March to November, volunteers can join the Master Gardeners to help beautify the trail and learn more about the native plant species found along the trail!
– All skill levels welcome!
– Bring your own weeding tools and graden gloves if you can!
– Support the Trail
– Meet new people
– Learn about plants and plant care with local experts!

 

HOW TO PREPARE:
– Bring water. Some snacks and water will be available
– Dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather and working outside among the plants. Long pants (versus shorts) are highly recommended.
– Bring sun protection and bug spray if needed

– You would like to register. This isn’t required, but it is helpful!
– You have a group that would like to join, but would need assistance with gardening tools/gloves.
– You would like to join the ERT Green Team and do beautification work on the Trail when it is convenient for you.

Locations will be announced during the week before the event in the Trail Beautification Day Facebook event page discussion. Locations we rotate between include:
– Plum Point Park (ERT- Fort Norfolk section)
– ERT Fitness Course (ERT – Fort Norfolk section)
– ERT Managed Meadow (ERT – Chelsea section)
– ERT Donor Sculpture by the Pagoda (ERT – Freemason section)
– MicroFarm in Lambert’s Point (ERT – Lambert’s Point section)
– NEW ERT Trailside Headquarters (ERT – Chelsea section)
