Old Dominion University Libraries returns to the artificial skies of Le Planetarium with the iconic psychedelic, psychological anime thriller, Paprika, the final film from visionary director Satoshi Kon (Perfect Blue, Tokyo Godfathers).

When a new high-tech doo-dad that lets observers enter the dreams of others goes missing, it’s up to a renegade psychologist and her dream-surfing alter-ego, Paprika, to find the gizmo before it falls into the hands of ‘dream terrorists.’

A deep, acid-dosed noir procedural with an absolute heater of a soundtrack, Paprika set the bar for animated films in the 21st century. It remains frequently imitated but never surpassed.
