We are pleased to inform you that Old Dominion University will be conducting Commencement ceremonies at Chartway Arena on May 9, 2025 at 6:00 PM for the Spring Class of 2025 – Advanced Degree Ceremony for all colleges and schools. (Masters, Education Specialists, and Doctoral Candidates)
All ceremonies will be live-streamed for friends and family unable to attend in person. The videos will be archived. Links will be provided closer to the date of the event.
Tickets will be required for all guests attending each ceremony. Tickets are only distributed to qualifying graduating students. All children over the age of 2 require a ticket.

Auxiliary viewing is provided on a first come, first served basis to guests without tickets. Auxiliary viewing is located in the Big Blue Room at Chartway Arena. There, guests will see the processional enter the building (the processional enters through the Big Blue Room) and then view the remainder of the ceremony live on large screens in the room.
If seats are available in the arena, guests may be escorted into the arena to be seated 10-15 minutes before the start of the event.
