Join us for a leisurely Sunday bike ride through Norfolk!
The group ride will begin at 3 PM. The ride uses the ERT and Norfolk bike lanes and should take approximately one (1) hour. We’ll return for a post-ride cool down! All skill levels are welcome! Some bike rides may have a fun theme to correlate with the seasons and the time of the year!

ERT + NTC - Historic Freemason Walking Tour on the ERT

Join Norfolk Tour Company for a FREE walking tour of the Elizabeth River Trail (ERT), exploring historical and modern life along the Trail in the Historic Freemason District. In partnership with the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, your tour guide will highlight the history of the area and the reciprocal relationship between the ERT and this historic neighborhood.

The group will be able to experience trail amenities right in the Historic Freemason District, view public art, and get to know the Trail’s route through the historic neighborhood.

Guests should meet at the open space between the Pagoda and the Elizabeth River for a casual, easy-paced walk that will last about an hour. Wear comfy shoes. Dogs & kids welcome!

ERT + NTC - Fort Norfolk Walking Tour

Join Norfolk Tour Company and the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation for this FREE and special walking tour of historic Fort Norfolk!

Fort Norfolk is a historic fort and national historic district dating back to the founding of our country. It is the last remaining fortification of President George Washington’s 18th century harbor defenses, later termed the first system of US fortifications — and it’s right on the Elizabeth River Trail! Some of the buildings in the fort date back to the 1790s.

Fort Norfolk is a federal property located next to the Army Corps of Engineers, which manages the fort. *Important* All tour attendees will need to provide photo identification in order to access the fort. This is a federal requirement.

The tour is in partnership with the ERT Foundation, and will last approximately an hour and 15 minutes. No registration required, just show up at the entrance of Fort Norfolk!

Join Norfolk Tour Company for a FREE walking tour along the Elizabeth River Trail (ERT), which will explore historic Chelsea: one of the most walkable and bikeable neighborhoods in the city! Your tour guide will share the history of the neighborhood area, the future of the ERT, exciting new developments, and an inside look at the Trail.
Meeting location TBD. The walk will last around one hour. No registration required!
