Join every Saturday, weather permitting, for the LIVE.LIFE.FRESH • Boom Box Bike Ride. Meet us at the MacArthur Mall Green Space, at the intersection of Freemason St. and Monticello Ave. at 10 AM. We’ll ride out at 10:30 AM for our casual cruise around Norfolk, Virginia via bike lanes and the Elizabeth River Trail.

This ride is led by Freshtopia, so please follow them for any last-minute weather changes or updates. This ride is family-friendly and a great way to feel comfortable navigating the trail and the bike lanes with a great group of riders!

Elizabeth River Trail Beautification Day

Locations will be announced during the week before the event Address will vary depending on location, Price: TBD

On the fourth Friday in the months of March to November, volunteers can join the Master Gardeners to help beautify the Elizabeth River Trail and learn more about the native plant species found along the Trail!

  • Bring your own weeding tools and garden gloves!
  • Support the Trail
  • Meet new people
  • Learn about plants and plant care with local experts!

Locations will be announced during the week before the event in the Trail Beautification Day Facebook event page discussion. Locations we rotate between include:

  • Plum Point Park (ERT- Fort Norfolk section)
  • ERT Fitness Course (ERT – Fort Norfolk section)
  • ERT Managed Meadow (ERT – Chelsea section)
  • ERT Donor Sculpture by the Pagoda (ERT – Freemason section)
  • MicroFarm in Lambert’s Point (ERT – Lambert’s Point section)

Tour de ORF

Benchtop Brewing Company 1129 Boissevain Ave, Norfolk, VA 23507, Price: TBD

Join us for a leisurely Sunday bike ride through Norfolk.

The group ride will begin at 3 PM from Benchtop Brewing. The ride uses the ERT and Norfolk bike lanes and should take approximately one (1) hour. We’ll return for a post-ride cool down! All skill levels are welcome!

Meetup: 2:45 PM
Ride leaves: 3:00 PM
Ride Returns: 4:00 PM

We’ll always have an experienced rider leading the Tour and are happy to have volunteers as sweepers and mid-pack riders to assist the group. Interested volunteers should email austin.lindhorst@elizabethrivertrail.org
