Hot Glass Experience

Chrysler Museum Glass Studio 245 Grace Street, Norfolk VA 23510, Price: $60 for Museum members, $75 for non-members

Make a blown or solid object of your choice.  Create a blown ornament or sculptural bauble, or sculpt a solid object like a starfish or heart.  Choose from an array of color options to make your object unique.  Object availability varies by season.

Rolling classes every 15 minutes 10–11:30 a.m. and 1:30–5:00 p.m.

  • Ages 5 +
  • $60 for Museum members, $75 for non-members
  • Groups should select timeslots that are sequential to avoid overlapping experiences.
  • We will contact you when your art is ready for pick up or shipment.
  • Class refunds or rescheduling will only be given if written notice is provided five (5) days before the class. Please email studio@chrysler.org to cancel or reschedule your registration.

Learn to melt colorful glass sticks with a torch, spin the glass around metal rods, and form it into beads. Explore different bead shapes and color application techniques, too. This is a great class for beginners.
