Join every Saturday, weather permitting, for the LIVE.LIFE. FRESH • Boom Box Bike Ride. Meet us at the MacArthur Mall Green Space, at the intersection of Freemason St. and Monticello Ave. at 10 AM. We’ll ride out at 10:30 AM for our casual cruise around Norfolk, Virginia via bike lanes and the Elizabeth River Trail.

This ride is led by Freshtopia, so please follow them for any last-minute weather changes or updates. This ride is family-friendly and a great way to feel comfortable navigating the trail and the bike lanes with a great group of riders!

On the fourth Friday in the months of March to November, volunteers can join the Master Gardeners to help beautify the Elizabeth River Trail and learn more about the native plant species found along the Trail!

ERT Donor Sculpture by the Pagoda (ERT – Freemason section)
MicroFarm in Lambert’s Point (ERT – Lambert’s Point section)

Historic Freemason Walking Tour

Join Norfolk Tour Company for a FREE walking tour of the Elizabeth River Trail (ERT), exploring historical and modern life along the Trail in the Historic Freemason District. In partnership with the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, your tour guide will highlight the history of the area and the reciprocal relationship between the ERT and this historic neighborhood.

The group will be able to experience trail amenities right in the Historic Freemason District, view public art, and get to know the Trail’s route through the historic neighborhood.

Guests should meet at the open space between the Pagoda and the Elizabeth River for a casual, easy-paced walk that will last about an hour. Wear comfy shoes. Dogs & kids welcome!

Tour de ORF

Join us for a leisurely, “egg-cellent” Sunday bike ride through Norfolk.

The group ride will begin at 3 PM from Afterglow Brewing. The ride uses the ERT and Norfolk bike lanes and should take approximately one (1) hour. We’ll return for a post-ride cool down! All skill levels are welcome!

*Hoppy spring! Please wear your Sunday best pastels and fresh colored-clothing! *

Meetup: 2:45 PM
Ride leaves: 3:00 PM
Ride Returns: 4:00 PM

We’ll always have an experienced rider leading the Tour and are happy to have volunteers as sweepers and mid-pack riders to assist the group. Interested volunteers should email austin.lindhorst@elizabethrivertrail.org
