NBN Academy: Neighborhood Leadership Cohort (continued)
Wednesday, April 22, 2026

The Neighborhood Leadership Cohort is a six week series of NBN Academy sessions to support the health of Norfolk’s civic leagues and neighborhood associations. The cohort supports civic participation by providing skills, resources, and connections to empower resident leaders in engaging and improving their community.

All sessions include a light supper. Sessions will be in person in the Mermaid Community Room at the Department of Neighborhood Services located at the rear of 835 Glenrock Road.

The cohort is open to any Norfolk resident age 14 and above who is active in neighborhood life and interested in improving their leadership skills. Neighborhood Services is aiming for a cohort of 15 diverse residents. Preference will be given to those living in Norfolk, but those involved in Norfolk through a non-profit or business are not automatically excluded.

Neighborhood Services seeks to intentionally recruit a diverse cross section of the city.  Neighborhood Services also asks for your commitment when you apply, so that we don’t have vacant seats that could be taken by others if you are unable to attend.  If you need to cancel, please let us know.
