The Perry Glass Studio is excited to introduce a new Glassblowing Class structure beginning July 18. When you arrive, select the object you’d like to make: a blown ornament or fairy orb or a solid, sculpted heart or starfish. Choose from an array of color options to make your object unique. With the instructor’s help, apply colorful crushed glass to molten clear glass on a long metal tube. Some objects are inflated with a special compressed air device while others are manipulated by hand with metal tools. Participants and instructors are required to wear a mask throughout the entire process, and hand sanitizer is provided.
Groups should select timeslots that are sequential to avoid overlapping experiences.
Glass objects must cool slowly in a kiln. We will call you when your art is ready to pick up.
