Have a young reader who needs some encouragement? Maybe you just enjoy reading a good tale to a friend who has a tail?

NACC’s Tales for Tails program is stopping by The Downtown Branch Library at Slover and it’s the perfect opportunity to practice those reading skills. Animals find the human voice comforting and soothing, so they’re ready to listen to you while you read!

Downtown Branch Library Program Policy

  • Programs begin 5 minutes after the scheduled start time.
  • Any available program spots and supplies will be given away at that time on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Once begun, the program will progress as scheduled. Programs will not be paused or reversed, and instructions will not be repeated for late arrivals.
  • Being on time for programs is the responsibility of the patron.
  • No Call, No Show Policy for Registration-Required Programs: The Downtown Branch Library is a public resource, and we try to provide services for as many patrons as possible. If a patron is a no-show/no-call for registration-required programs three times within the calendar year, programming staff will cancel that patron’s upcoming program registrations for the next thirty (30) days.
