Twice as Nice: The Two Covers of the 2026 Norfolk City Guide

For 2026, we wanted our city guide to have two distinct covers. The first leans into the city’s maritime identity: it features the American Rover sailing across the Elizabeth River with Nauticus and Waterside in the background. It shows how Norfolk is shaped by water, history and movement and how we’re a working port city that’s always expanding its horizons. Our second cover captures a glass artist mid-process at the Perry Glass Studio. It demonstrates Norfolk’s quieter, craftier side, showing that we’re a place where creativity flourishes in real time.

Together, these covers show Norfolk as a city of contrasts: industrial, expressive, historic and contemporary. However you get here, Norfolk is happy to meet you where you are. And always ready to show you something you didn’t expect.
