This class introduces design and composition of various types of lidded vessels. Learn techniques for throwing and trimming lids to create closed containers. Students will do hands-on exercises to throw lids and learn to trim and fit the lids to include sizing and stabilization strategies. Additional considerations such as lid decorations and functional knob construction will be covered. This class is aimed at potters with enough experience on the wheel to be able to center and produce a finished pot.
