Carved Couture Exhibition Opening

January 30 2025

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Barry Art Museum 1075 43rd St, Norfolk, VA 23508

Centuries before Barbie dazzled the world with her extensive wardrobes and accessories, English wooden dolls modeled the latest fashions for their privileged viewers. In keeping with the Barry’s commitment to showcasing the richness of Hampton Roads’ art and material culture, Carved Couture will highlight 18th-century British wooden fashion dolls, not just from our permanent collection, but from Colonial Williamsburg and local private collectors as well. Join is Thursday, January 30th, for a special Coffee and Contemporary Art from 12:30-1:30 p.m. celebrating the opening of Carved Couture!

Exhibition of view January 28th- July 31, 2025
