Norfolk’s Department of Human Services realizes that many residents struggle to access benefits programs, assistance and support services due to a lack of transportation. To address that need, Norfolk Department of Human Services is bringing much-needed access right in neighborhoods with the Community Engagement Street Team (CEST).
Resources include:
- Benefits applications
- Tangible resources (food, water, personal care items, etc.)
- Referrals for service
- Intensive case management assistance
- Support and additional help
