Naval Station Norfolk’s Fleet Fest is FREE and open to the general public. Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to tour US Navy and US Coast Guard ships, view a variety of military demonstrations, tour multiple aircraft static displays, enjoy a FREE carnival area, food trucks, live music, vendors and much more!
Ship Tours
Fleet Fest ship tours are on the Amphibious Assault Warship and USS Gonzalez (DDG 66), and Coast Guard Fast Response Cutters from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ship tour line will be cut off promptly at 4:30 p.m.
Chili Cook-Off
The 2024 Fleet Fest includes food concessions and of course the annual Command Chili Cook-Off Challenge with free tastings. The Fleet Fest Chili Cook-Off is taking place Saturday, October 19 from 9 am to 4 pm. The chili cook-off is open to commands from all installations and there will be a special guest judge! Prizes will be awarded. Best chili first place will win $500, second place will win $300 and third place will win $200. The people’s choice chili will be awarded $250 and the best showmanship winner will get $250. Enter your command into Naval Station Norfolk’s Command Chili Cook-Off!

Activities & Static Displays
There are a variety of things to do, activities and entertainment at this year’s Fleet Fest. Featured activities include live entertainment featuring The Deloreans and United States Fleet Forces Rock band, a carnival, static aircraft displays, a Coast Guard silent drill team performance, a U.S. Navy search and rescue demonstration, a military working dog demonstration, a landing craft air cushion demonstration, a U.S. Coast Guard search and rescue demonstration, and a Navy Seal insertion and extraction demonstration.
