Group Art Therapy for Care Partners for individuals with Dementia or MCI

ODU Counseling & Art Therapy 7701 N Shore Rd, Norfolk, VA 23505-1732 Price: Free

Intended to provide a safe and confidential space for care partners/care givers of individuals with dementia or mild cognitive impairment. Individuals will participate in 8 group art therapy sessions at Hermitage Museum & Gardens Goode Visual Arts School. Sessions will offer participants the opportunity to engage in art making, improve quality of life, help foster expression of feelings and thoughts, connect with others, and explore role shift, compassion fatigue, and care partner burden. Free to participate and no art skills are necessary.
