Come get cozy in our Artist Lounge for a FREE workshop where you’ll learn the basics of Knitting with d’Art Resident Artist Yvonne Hilliard-Bradley!
During this two-hour long Beginning Knitting Workshop, you’ll learn to cast on, plain knit stitch, and bind off as we make cotton dishcloths – the very best kind! This workshop will have an extremely limited seating (only 8!) so each participant can receive individual attention from the instructor. In any remaining time, we will talk about how to turn these basic stitches into wearable art!
Ages: 18+
This workshop is free and open to the public, but your RSVP gives us an idea on what to expect! We accept walk-ins and RSVPs, but all spaces are first come first served – an RSVP does not guarantee your space. Please arrive on time.
With help from the Program for Improving Capacity and Capability (PICC) Grant, the d’Art Center is able to bring back free programming for our community, but we need your help to gather information required by the grant to meet our goal in Connecting the Community with the Visual Arts. Before the activity begins, attendees will be asked to fill out a Participation Card that includes questions such as age range, zip code, etc.
