Join us on the 80th anniversary of V-J Day with a free screening of the recently released film Children of the War.


August 15, 2025 will represent the 80th anniversary of Victory Over Japan (V-J) Day, a historic moment in the events leading to the end of World War II. In honor of this landmark anniversary in history, the MacArthur Memorial in partnership with the Philippine World War II Memorial Foundation will host a free screening of the recently released film Children of the War. This documentary features interviews with seven survivors of the 1945 Battle of Manila. Children during the war, they explore the harrowing experiences that continue to haunt them 80 years later.
