Norfolk Fire-Rescue invites the community to the dedication ceremony for the new Fire Station 11 on Saturday, May 2, at 11 a.m. The station, located at 2601 Lafayette Blvd., continues the proud legacy of the original station on Verdun Ave, which has served Norfolk for a century.

The ceremony will feature remarks from Mayor Kenneth Cooper Alexander and Norfolk Fire-Rescue Chief Sidney Carroll. Following the dedication, guests are welcome to explore the station during an open house. Norfolk Arts will be unveiling “Moon Gate,” the signature public art for Station 11 during this event.

Parking is available at New Hope Church of Norfolk (3232 Brest Ave). A shuttle service is available.
