Virginia International Tattoo

April 24 - April 27 2025

Thursday, Apr 24, 2025, 7:30 PM; Friday, Apr 25, 2025, 7:30 PM; Saturday, Apr 26, 2025, 7:30 PM; Sunday, Apr 27, 2025, 2:30 PM
Scope Arena 201 East Brambleton Avenue Norfolk, Virginia 23510 Price: $25 - $100 plus applicable fees

For centuries, the cry “Tattoo” echoed throughout Europe — first a call by to innkeepers to “Turn off the taps!” — and then as the name for a grand display of military bands and drill teams. The legendary Tattoos of Edinburgh and Nova Scotia are now rivaled by the largest Tattoo in the U.S. — our own Virginia International Tattoo. Mounting a mighty spectacle that changes every year, the Virginia International Tattoo summons more than 1,000 performers including fife and drum corps, bagpipers, military bands, precision drill teams, and performing ensembles ranging from step dancers to motorcycle stunt drivers.

A salute to international friendship and an emotional call to the love of country in us all, the Tattoo is an unmissable celebration. See the show that America’s premier tourism organization has named the Number One U.S. destination for travelers (American Bus Association Best of the Top 100 Events in North America).

Alabama-bred and Nashville-based, comedian, actress, and content creator, Danae Hays represents a fresh, new female voice in the comedy, acting, and music worlds. Her cast of zany southern characters and parody country music songs have pushed her to the top of the Spotify and Apple Music charts, earning her a cumulative following of 3.6M+ followers and nearly 2 billion views.

Danae’s debut Country/Comedy single “Rode Hard” peaked at No. 5 on the Country Global iTunes Charts, No. 8 on Billboard’s Country Digital Song Sales, No. 22 on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales, and No. 34 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists. Earlier this year, Danae wrapped her debut comedy tour, which sold out in minutes.

True to her multi-hyphenate nature, Danae’s passion for acting landed her a role in “Mother Nature and the Doomsday Prepper” (which she just returned from filming in the spring of 2024) and “Summer Camp”. Additionally, Danae has co-and-guest starred alongside many of the most notable names in entertainment including Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Tanya Christiansen and Josh Peck.

This promises to be a stirring musical tribute to the influential American known as the “Poet Laureate of Harlem.”
This year’s Young Singers Project students represent each city in Hampton Roads and 18 different schools. Now entering its twenty-fifth year, the Young Singers Project is the Virginia Chorale’s flagship educational outreach program. The YSP is a unique opportunity for select high school students from across the region to be mentored by the professional singers of the Chorale in an intensive rehearsal and performance process. YSP alumni have gone on to study at the finest conservatories in the United States and are active musicians (both professional and amateur) across Virginia and beyond.
