Get ready to be amazed by the infectious energy and talent of the Virginia Arts Festival’s Rhythm Project! This world percussion ensemble of elementary- through high school-age musicians from across Hampton Roads brings steel pan music to life with joyful spirit, precision, and vibrant sound.
For 29 years, Rhythm Project has empowered young people through music, teaching discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and creativity as students learn to perform together. Their remarkable performers have opened for legendary artists like Gladys Knight, shared the stage with international steel pan stars, and appeared at prestigious venues including the Kennedy Center and the Royal Nova Scotia and Virginia International Tattoos.
Bring the whole family for an uplifting evening of rhythm, movement, and music that’s impossible to resist.
