Spring is here and nature is transforming from the silence of winter to the warmth of a new season. During this week of camp, we will explore different types of transformation. Campers will learn about biological metamorphosis that occurs with the transition to spring including changes in insect and plant life. Campers will use a variety of art materials to create ceramic “chia seed” animals, insect flip books, and surrealism drawings as we study the transformation to the new season! Spend time outside exploring the wetlands, grounds, and gardens at the Hermitage to learn about the many ways that transformation occurs in art!
The camp day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a morning session from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., lunch and outdoor time (weather permitting) from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., and the afternoon session from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The camp day ends promptly at 4:00 p.m.
