Book & Look explores the themes in the exhibition Architects of Being with Modern Art: A Novel by Evelyn Toyton. Inspired by the life of Lee Krasner, the novel follows Belle Prokoff coming to terms with her artistic career being overshadowed by her famous husband. Discussions in the exhibition will connect themes of self-discovery in the book with the way Nevelson and Slobodkina made names for themselves in the male-dominated art world.

Light refreshments will be served beforehand in the Jean Outland Chrysler Library.
