Saturday, October 17, 2026
Join the OV Sea Hags for a magical, interactive witch walk celebrating Norfolk250!
This family-friendly community event blends music, dance, local history, and coastal folklore as participants walk alongside the troupe through a series of theatrical historical storytelling checkpoints. Guests are encouraged to dress in witch attire or period-inspired costumes representing Ocean View’s rich 250-year history. As twilight falls along the boardwalk, the journey will explore legendary moments from our shoreline’s past, including the hurricane that formed Willoughby Spit, the 1776 escape of enslaved people from Willoughby Plantation, the Ocean View Railroad resort era, WWII history at the Nansemond Hotel, and the cultural legacy of Seaview Beach. The evening concludes with the OV Sea Hags’ signature German Witch Broom Dance finale celebrating the resilient spirit and community of Ocean View.
