Glassblowing 4: Goblets and Roemers

Perry Glass Studio 245 Grace Street, Norfolk VA 23510, Price: $256 for Museum members, $320 for non-members

Prerequisite: Glassblowing 3

In Glassblowing 4: Goblets and Roemers, learn the art of creating goblets with stems and feet as well as roemers with pontils.

Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

 Ages 16 +

  • $256 for Museum members, $320 for non-members
  • We will contact you when your art is ready for pick up or shipment.
  • A full refund or rescheduling may only be granted if written notice is provided five or more days from the scheduled event. Class times are fixed, any arrivals 15 minutes or more after start time may not be accommodated. Please email studio@chrysler.org to cancel your registration.
  • No refunds will be granted retroactively for missed classes.

Korean War Commemorations at MacArthur Memorial

Friday, April 24, 2026 | 11AM

Norfolk is one of the most flood-prone cities on the East Coast due to its low elevation and proximity to the ocean. During flooding events, water picks up all types of pollutants and carries it out into the Elizabeth River and Chesapeake Bay. Participants will mimic these events to see the impacts of water quality after a flood

 

This daily program is included in Nauticus’ general admission.

Teacher Appreciation Week at Nauticus

Nauticus is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week with FREE admission for licensed educators and staff, pre-K through college, from Monday, May 4, through Sunday, May 10!

This special week will give teachers and support staff a chance to explore Nauticus’ engaging exhibits, daily programs/films, and a self-guided tour aboard the Battleship Wisconsin for FREE. Plus, teachers & staff will receive 20% off one item in the gift shop!

Must be able to show a valid school ID (teacher or staff member) at the Nauticus front desk during check-in. Free admission is only offered for the teacher/staff member. Other guests must purchase a general admission ticket.

In this program you will hold real fossils excavated by one of our educators, learn about the fossilization process, and how fossils help us understand ecosystems and change over time—you will even create your own imprint and take home your own DIY recipe for creating fossils at home!

Would you also be surprised to find out that they navigate their way back to their home rivers by using their sense of smell! Come join us here at Nauticus for “Smell Like A Sturgeon”, an interactive floor program that tests your sense of smell to see if you have what it takes to sniff your way home like the Atlantic Sturgeon.

Smell Like A Sturgeon activity is included in general admission.
