The Visiting Artist Series was created to bring world-class artists in the field of glass to our region, to promote glass education, and attract broad interest in and enthusiasm for the Chrysler Museum and its Glass Studio. The series is an invitation to work at the glass studio for four days, usually taking place from Thursday-Sunday. During this focused time, the artists are involved in a range of activities, which could include demonstrations and lectures at the Glass Studio for Museum visitors and the public, special demonstrations and lectures at the Glass Studio for Museum visitors and the public, special demonstrations and discussions for local high school and college students, visits and social events with museum donors and local collectors, and video/audio recording for the Chrysler’s website and archives.
