Little Theatre of Norfolk is excited to bring back Broadway’s 1950 American Classic Bell, Book and Candle by John Van Druten to the stage as part of their 96th season. Bell, Book and Candle has been produced three times at Little Theatre of Norfolk. This timeless classic has been described in the New York Times as “… completely enchanting—a wonderfully suave and impish fantasy.”
Gillian Holroyd is one of the few modern people who can actually cast spells and perform feats of supernaturalism. She casts a spell over publisher Shepherd Henderson, partly to keep him away from a rival and partly because she is attracted to him. He falls head over heels in love with her; but witches, unfortunately, cannot fall in love, which leads to a number of difficulties.
